Air Player is a lightweight application with one purpose: Run instrument panels.

You can use Air Manager to configure Air Player. Once configured, Air Player can operate completely on it's own. This page will explain how to use Air Player.

For information on how to install Air Player, please go here.

Pushing custom instruments to Air Player

Pushing custom instruments to Air Player Raspberry Pi

If you want to run instruments in Air Player that are not part of the Sim Innovations library, then these have to be pushed from the Create/Edit tab. Go to the Create/Edit tab, select your Air Player, then select your custom instrument(s) and press Push. To multi select instruments, press SHIFT or CTRL while selecting your instruments.

Shutdown the Raspberry Pi

You can shutdown the Raspberry Pi from Air Manager. See here for more information.

The power LED on the Raspberry Pi will flash 5 times indicating that it is safe to remove the power.

Info Do not shut down your Raspberry Pi by removing it from its power source! This can corrupt the file system.

Automatic update

Air Player will automatically update itself when there is an update available online

Note that the update process might take a couple of minutes (depending on your internet speed). The instrument panel will show up once it has finished updating.
