Hardware
Air Player requires a Raspberry Pi 2, 3 or 4. Note that a Pi 3 or 4 is recommended because of performance reasons.
There are some restrictions:
- Only the first HDMI port is supported
- On the Pi 4, the panel should have the same resolution as the monitor
- On the Pi 4, mouse is not supported
Performance
Air Player on the Raspberry Pi can run up to full HD (1920x1080). However the frame rate will only reach approximately 15 frames per second on full HD. For higher frame rates we recommend to use a screen with a lower resolution.
