This section describes how to install Air Player on the Raspberry Pi 2, 3 or 4.

You can install Air Player by downloading our custom Raspberry Pi image. Writing this image to your SD card is everything you have to do, you do not have to download the Raspbian Weezy operating system.

Requirements

For Air Player you need a Raspberry Pi 2 or higher. This installation tutorial will guide you through the steps necessary to get Air Player running on your Pi. A video tutorial will follow later.

* Raspberry Pi 2, 3 or 4
* (micro) SD card, 8GB or higher
* (micro) SD card reader

1. Download Raspberry Pi system image

Download the latest Air Player image for the Raspberry Pi here.

2. Install on a SD card

Install the Air Player system image on your SD card (note that all content of that SD card will be removed)
We recommend the Etcher tool, which can be downloaded here.

3. Start your Raspberry Pi

When you have written the image file to the SD card, you can insert the SD card in your Raspberry Pi and power it up.

Your Raspberry Pi should show up automatically in Air Manager.
