Using Air Player and Air Manager with Two Computers and X plane 11 Help!

#1 Post by Piper_Pilot_44 »

Hi Everyone!

I recently purchased Sim Innovations' Air Manager, Air Player and Knobster and have built myself an awesome little home cockpit. Problem is, I've been scratching my head on how to get it all to work.

I am running X-Plane 11. The information I have gathered is that it is possible to connect X Plane 11 to Air Manager for avionics, and to run them on a second computer using Air Player. I have been able to get Air Manager to see and recognize Air Player on the second computer, but the avionics don't show up on the monitors that I have attached to the second computer even after clicking on the light bulb icon and selecting the proper monitor to display them on. I was hoping that someone at sim innovations or this forum could give me some step-by step instructions on how to make this all work. I have spent hours watching several videos, many show that it is possible, but none show how to do it.

It is also my understanding that I need to be running a second copy of X Plane 11. I purchased my license through Steam, does anyone know how to purchase a second license through Steam? I am not a "gamer," nor am I a computer programmer, so I need things explained in the simplest way possible. I have spent countless hours googling for the information, all of which seems spotty and incomplete. Can someone please explain to me how to make this all work?

Thank You!
