Air manager/c172 asobo/egt

#1 Post by Pat737 »

ImageHello everyone,

First of all thank you for your work. Always happy to fly with my c172 cockpit (asobo version) and my air manager instruments.

However, there is still a problem with this EGT gauge. Do you know how to put it back into operation?

I have another question:
if I buy the cessna WB-SIM 172 SP CLASSIC ENHANCEMENT will my air manager instruments continue to work?

Thank you for your help.

I very much doubt if they will all work with the WBSim variant. I’ve recently been going through my C172 panels for that variant and there were a few things that needed changing. On the whole most will be fine but some of them will need attention. Annunciator panel, clock, lighting control spring to mind. There is also working cb’s if you wanted to incorporate that.

The EGT issue to which you refer I assume is related to needle movement. If not ignore what follows.
EGT is always one of those gauges that seems to come with lots of variation in the sim data. It’s why the community instrument has some user properties to help get the needle in a similar spot to whatever simulated aircraft variant is used. Have you tried playing with those user properties.

The most important input is the EGT is working well with the "C182 EGT and CHT" EGT part flying the default Asobo C172 in MSFS :

where the "C172SP - EGT and fuel flow" EGT part doesn't :

I think the working part from the C182 EGT instrument should be replicate to the C172 EGT instrument, right ?? ...

Here's my own auto-adaptive generic one :

Good morning,

Thank you for your answers.

@SimPassion:
I would like to develop a little more, but I didn't have
just 2 questions:

1) EGT gauge not working ?

2) Operation of the WB-SIM 172 SP CLASSIC addon.
Maybe I expressed myself badly because I'm French, sorry.

@Sling.
Thanks for the answers.

Do you continue to fly with WBSIM?

What do you mean by CB'S?

And what CB'S should change if I use WBSIM ?

I haven't tried to modify the basic settings of my EGT gauge because I don't know how to do it. But I'll see if I can do it.

On the other hand, I will replace the EGT gauge of the 172 with the gauge of the 182.
This I know how to do.. :-) and I will have made progress on this point.

I hope I'm not too

Pat.

I hope @Ralph is seeing the C182 EGT part is working and should be replicated to the C172 EGT ...
... as mentioned here : https://siminnovations.com/forums/viewt ... 812#p58812

Indeed, this has already been discussed on the forums.
Though in this case, as the instrument is name Cessna 172, it should by default at least take the script part which works well from inside the C182 EGT instrument, then if it doesn't work for other aircraft than the default C172, let user choose another value by themselves.
I mean it should work straight out when running it. Not the way : "yes it's default for C172, though you have to adjust value to make it work for the C172", which in this case would be rather weird 😮😉

Thank you for this information.

I didn't know it was possible to change the EGT value myself.

Do you know what value to enter for the c172 asobo ?

I'll look at this tomorrow and get back to you for feedback.

Good evening.
Pat

It'll be trial and error.
