Knobster Not Connected in both X Plane and MSFS

I am new to Using the Knobster and can not get it to connect to either XPlane or MSFS 2020. Have started from scratch several times with Knob XP and Knob FS. Plug-Ins appear to be in the correct location . I am not using VR yet and Air Manager is my next project. All I want to do right now is use G1000 in Cessna 172 for my R Nav (GPS) and ILS approaches. Always get the same screen Knobster Disconnected or Knobster Not Connected. .. appreciate any help to resolve this . Thank You

Air Manager is not meant to be used in conjunction with KnobFS or KnobXP.

Any idea whats is causing the "Knobster Diconnected" Screen?

I suppose, judging from your story, you have Air Manager and KnobFS/KnobXP running at the same time?

I Hope not... Have not signed up for Air Manager Yet.... Just trying to get Knobster to work... Have the same issue in Both Sims XP and MS....I must be doing something wrong because everything points in the direction of being OK except... "No Connecti".... Have you had any experience with this issue?

Purchased through Amazon Flight Velocity and that is my next step because something is wrong that I can not figure out. The software is working correctly in both sims as I get the Knobster Icon in the Menu Bar in MSFS 2020 with "Knobster not Connected" in the drop down box and Same thing in X Plane Plugins shows KNOB XP " Not Connected.
I get an audible "DING" in my speaker when I plug and unplug the USB to the Knobster. I would like to resolve this because using the G1000 in MSFS 2020 is very annoying and I am using the sim as "Study Level" supplement to my Instrument Rating ground school . At this point I do not have a way to Isolate the dual-encoder to bench check its functionality. Im hoping someone on this Forum will be able to shed some light on this.... I would love to know what is causing this 'BUG",,,,, thanks for your question,,,

Flight Velocity does not sell Knosters, they call it a 'Flight Velocity Dual Encoder'. In other words, this is a DIY Knobster and it does not work with KnobFS and KnobXP, only with Air Manager/Air Player.

Hi Ralph, Just got off the phone with Flight Velocity and everything you said is correct. My mistake when I ordered from Amazon I did not realize the duel decoder is a DIY. Back to the drawing board. I will now order one form Sim Innovations. Really appreciate your help... I love problem Solving and this was a good one Thank You for helping me with this.
