Cannot install Flightsim Plugins on Windows 10

Hi,

I have a fresh installed Windows 10 Home PC (German) with just Steam / X-Plane 12 on it.
The old Plug-In installer named "flight_sim_setup.exe" starts but there is no X-Plane 12 option.
So I downloaded the "Flightsim plugins 4.0 Home Use" installer from the wiki.
But whenever I try to start it i get an error telling me (translated from german) "This App cannot be executed on this PC. Contact the manufacturer for the right version."
I also get that message on a different PC with Windows 10 installed, on both PCs Windows is the current version 22H2.

Since Air Manager is an important part of my setup I am stuck with the XP-11 PC removed from the pit and the X-Plane 12 one being ready, but the Air Manager PlugIn not working and therefore the Air Manager Panel PC not able to connect.

:-(

Please help!

Kind regards, Peter

That's not correct. It's around 56 MB.
I saw this before. It has been 'malformed' by some kind of security system on your PC. You might have to download it on a different PC or maybe a different browser.

Hello Ralph,

Thank you for the info.
I'll download it on a different PC then.

Hello Ralph,

eventually it downloaded correctly.
Thank you for the file info!

Never had that problem on my machines, but I had to redownload a lot of times on different PCs on my network.
None of them have any special security software or anything, and I didn't have such download issues since modem times.
What i noticed is that the link does not supply the size to the browser, it might make sense to change the download links or offer alternative download locations.

Kind regards, Peter
