Sim Remote Server: Lost Connection

#1 Post by Deanos83 »

I've attached log, does anyone know why I would keep getting disconnected?

My main PC is connected via ethernet, with fixed IP.
Thanks

Try using wired ethernet connections on the android devices, not wifi.
Not all versions of android will support a wired adapter, but the adapters are only a couple of quid on aliX
When working they are great.

Okay. But the tablets remain connected to the wifi, they just lose connection with the Main pc when running x plane.

I'll look into it though

The wi-fi is not always fully reliable in all circumstances, when it come to the network connection between AM and the FlightSim plugin. Sometime we have to strengthen this part on the LAN, potentially with checking or upgrading wi-fi router or firewall ...

exactly !
Wifi is a pain in circumstances like this. A wired connection definitely preferred.
It is really easy to do. All depends on the age of the tablets and the version of OTG and android.

These were the cheapest tablets on amazon, were only sole purpose was to use them with air manager.

They do have USB-C so may still give it a shot.

Is there nothing in the log that stands out?

Hi, yes, the timeouts stand out.
If they have usbc they will likely work.
