I do confirm.
The link to XPlane Datarefs from the Wiki page is dead

In the following example, we should read "circularly" in place of "horizontally"
https://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.p ... ot#Example

"-- This will generate 7 text_objects horizontally."

I don't really agree for the x and y description here : https://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.p ... #Arguments 🤔

which are rather the center of the circle around which the objects are drawn ... 😉

So the sample should be updated
and this is working for a 900 x 900 instrument :

Code: Select all

function value_callback(item_nr)
  return "this is item " .. item_nr
end

-- This will generate 7 text_objects circularly. Text objects are 200x100. Radius of the circle is 350.
my_running_txt_id = running_txt_add_cir(450,450,12,200,100,350,350, value_callback,"-fx-font-size:14pt; -fx-fill:black;")

running_txt_move_carot(my_running_txt_id, 1)

Small typo here :

Description
x, y = geo_rotate_coordinates(degrees, radius_x, radius_y)
geo_rotate_coordinates is used to get the x and y coordinates from a circle with a centain radius and angle.

We should rather read "certain"

Starting from here after working on ID's way, https://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.p ... dware_Id's

Code: Select all

1 hw_id String The is the reference to the input. You can choose to bind to an existing Hardware ID (Hardware_id_list).

it point to the Hardware List https://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.p ... re_id_list which doesn't bring any sample of the syntax and I think clarification should be added of real usable IDs samples like these ones, which eventually would be helpful for any new comer :

ARDUINO_UNO_A
ARDUINO_MEGA2560_B
RPI_PICO_A
ARDUINO_LEONARDO_C
aso ...

a few samples should be enough to get a proper idea ! 😉
