We already selected a library that does everything what we want.

Hi,

Bit early to say that I think, especially when nothing has worked so far :)

Did some experimenting with this C library:

Hi Corjan
1- If you will look into the UI, it would useful to integrate the panel editing functions of the Home tab and the Edit Tab. It is not possible to edit scripts in the Home tab and it is not possible to change instrument order or move instrument by drag and drop in the Edit tab. A single panel editing would be preferable.
2- Many new planes use Input Events (B:var) (ex in the Cabri G2). These are not readable or writable in Air Manager. I know it is not easy but Lorby “Axis And Ohs” can do it, so it should be doable.

+1 for item 1. This is something I’ve been saying since panel scripting was introduced. Combine the graphical panel layout and instrument ordering features of the home tab into the create/edit panel tab for a complete solution and all the home tab needs to be is a way to organise and display those panels. It’s the logical next step.

Item 2 however needs a fix from Asobo. What A&O’s is doing is a workaround which involves temporarily planting xml in the aircraft folder. It could be done but it’s supposed to be getting fixed if they ever get round to it.

A small enhancement for 4.3 that has been discussed before and it was muted for inclusion but somehow hasn’t made it yet is the export of a single .siff file that includes the panel and all it’s associated instruments when exported from the panels tab.

Panel Designer that works like SketchUp. Maybe this exists already and I just don’t know how to find/use it. It would be great to have a format to design your panel by starting with panel size, different backgrounds or shapes you could just place (rivets, screws and such). Then have drag and drop instruments, circuit breakers, Hobbs meters and sensors and so on. I would really love access to instruments that look more like what’s in the plane and is tied in with flight sims once you click save. Just my 2 cents.

I'm curious and hunger to see where will go the new reworked UI in 4.3 !?!

additionally what I'm expecting is :

a way to open multiple logic.lua at once from several different instruments previously selected in the left pane in [Create/Edit] tab

Just to mention I never played until yet, with multiple running instruments from the [Create/Edit] tab in AM 4.2 and I really like it 👏 😃
[EDIT] Not to mention the pinned feature which allow several logic.lua to be already present in the Edit pane on next AM launch, great idea 👍

I am just awaiting a version of simmessageport that could at least pass the port in use to the instance or / and run multiple instances................................................................................................. ;)
