For instrument creators: to figure out where panels are in a texture when you are creating an instrument with video streaming, I'm creating a tool to explore the texture. The tool is not finished yet, but this first version is able to view the texture, moving around en zooming in/out. A reset button is also available. The x, y, width and height in the display are indicating what you are currently viewing.
Start the instrument in the create/edit tab. The tool can cause X-Plane to crash. To minimize the change wait until the aircraft is fully loaded in X-Plane before starting the instrument.
The Texture Explorer requires X-Plane 12 and Air Manager 4.2 BETA (latest beta) to work.
Zoom: plus and minus buttons (min zoom: 40%, max zoom: 250%).
Move: arrow buttons.
Reset button to go to the start position.
The tool has an user property to select a video stream key (default: xpl/gauges[1], which works in most aircrafts with custom panels).
