We're not able to reproduce this. So the only thing I can offer now is a refund.
You can check the Windows event log if there's any useful information in there:

Are you running a USB to HDMI monitor maybe? Or some sort of video capture software?

Run the system file check utility from powershell admin or elevated command prompt

sfc /scannow

After spending too many hours on trying to discover the cause, a Windows Reset fixed the problem. Thanks to all who tried to help.

Just a shot in the dark, but are you using MSI afterburner, or any other GPU software?

Talked to someone just yet where enabling MSI afterburner crashes AM.

Has this ever been fixed or is there a workaround (apart from shutting down MSI Afterburner)? I'm having the same problem: when MSFS and MSI Afterburner are running, Air Manager crashes after a random amount of time. With only Afterburner running (without MSFS), nothing happens. The selected graphics API (Direct X or OpenGL) doesn't make a difference.
