I don't mind a good standoff now and then :)

In this case so many people where asking for it that my opinion became somewhat irrelevant.
Also, since I hardly use AM myself, it also makes it hard to judge what is important to add.

The renaming issue will be resolved in next BETA,

Thanks Corjan, I'm rather mostly demanding, direct in my words and somewhat sharp in many circumstances when answering in the forums, however I really appreciate your hard work and highly grateful of your efforts and what SI bring to the community in any case.
So definitely congrats and again big thanks !!! 👏👍😉

PS: I know SI is working on day to day basis around many area, for a better flight sim experience with adding more and more nice features, together with new improvements in Air Manager suite.

To be honest, I'm not really happy with it. It makes the GUI very cluttered and complicated.
For a beginner, or a not tech savvy person, it has become much more complex.
But hey...

Hi Ralph, put an 'advanced options' menu and set it off as default - same for any other feature that think the same about. That is what most programs have.
Just a thought :)

Hi,

Stuff like that only causes more confusion.
With support questions, you first have to ask what mode is active, etc etc.

Also, still have my reservations, but the people have spoken.

I’d like to echo the words that have already been said here about how this has come about. Thanks so much for driving AM forward. Sure it needs a little more polish but I’m sure it will sparkle on release.

On a related note I cannot get the beta to see the Sim at all with this new plug-in. I believe it was the same with the BETA 2 plug-in so I rolled back to the release version. I disabled the firewall etc, tried manually entering the IP and restarted things but still no joy. It’s late here now so I may of missed something in my haste to have a quick look and will check again tomorrow.

You might have to start it manually from the Program Files.
The service installed in the wrong directory, there will be a fix soon.

Thx Ralph that is indeed what was needed. Seems there are 2 to choose from so I guess the extra one will vanish once updated.

Ah, that was my problem, too, now I only have to figure out, why I can´t import panels.
