Just wanted to figure out how the several parameters UI we find in different location, would appears differently to help, or not, going directly to the parameter we want to set.
And it looks like it helps better to differentiate the several section in a pane :

Additional suggestion for the lately added group feature, would be to go back to the drop down list, where we would be able to select between the list below and eventually get a de-clutered pane :
  • Groups
  • Instruments
  • Panels
  • Hardware functions
  • Devices
  • Flight Illusion gauges
  • ...

Hi,

Not going to revisit this in the coming year or so.
User interfaces are like politics, everybody has an opinion in it.

We all have to take distance on visual design sometime, though, I'm alright with this, which is you own choice, no issue. The overall is great @Corjan in any case and many thanks for where AM is already gone ! 👍

PS: there I didn't mentioned any specific color for sections title highlighting, just the fact highlighting would facilitate view, which in this case, get a better base support, than only same tint white or black depending on light or dark scheme

Hi,

I think that that most here do not care for politics. We just want to SIM with a awesome experience that SI provides.

The statement that ...
Not going to revisit this in the coming year or so.
Is a bit discouraging for me.
I interoperate, it to mean that the AM GUI is closed for dev over this "coming year or so".

AM was moving along so nicely, but slowly.
Please do not put progress into snail pace.

We all love your work.

Phew

Thought you were going on a skip year,

Mind you, just imagine how much code you can punch out here. Or no code at all...

And can we do these instruments?? :D

Outside the 4.3 Bugs concern, I just corrected a meaning where I've badly taken a word for another, due to my improper English knowledge, which would had lead in confusion : now replaced the unwanted word with "sharp" (or "curt" as a proper understanding). I think it was important to make this correction.

Has anyone else noticed that the latest beta plugin for MSFS2020 (compiled 2/7/2023) does not play nice with variables?
I've noticed that after I toggle the switch in AM, then try to toggle it in the sim, the switch will not move (well it moves for a couple tenths of a second, then moves back).
It looks like AM is continuously writing the variable or overwriting it as soon as it hits the switches' subscribe?? I added a quick print statement to the switch callback, and it's not hitting that.
Even if I close AM, I still can't control the switch in the sim.

I won't look deeper into it if it's a known bug. I tested it with AM 4.1.6 and AM 4.2 Beta 8 and both show the same issues.

or as usually ? a huge PBCAK !

(problem between chair and keyboard)

check your own code first by removing it from the equation and using default aircraft and default AM panels (FROM SIM-INNOVATION - Air Manager themselves) - not some third party frat cub trying to work around the abortion that is fs2020

Enjoy

Hi Rob,

Do you maybe have a small script I could use for me to try to reproduce it?

In theory, AM should only write the variable in FS2020 once,
