inter-instrument-communication

#1 Post by chefpilot »

Hello,
I'm just trying to integrate inter-instrument-communication into my instruments. Everything is working fine as long as the communication takes place between instruments on the same laptop. By the way Xplane is runing on a desktop integrated into my private lan/wlan.
I have a problem if one instrument is runing on my laptop and the other one is running on a raspberry. No communication is possible, even with the same scripts which runing perfect as long as both scripts runing on the same computer.
Any chance for some hints?
Marc

In any case, the sim should be running, as IIC rely on up to date and running AM Flight Sim plugin, which is currently 4.0 : https://siminnovations.com/api4/downloa ... n=HOME_USE from here : https://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.p ... stallation

Hi,
I checked everything.
Xplane11 is runing with plugin 4.0 on the desktop
Air Manager 4.1.5 is runing on the laptop
Air Player 4.1.5 is runining on the raspberry

The raspberry wit AirPlayer is showing up in AirManager
AirManager indactes to be connected to Xplane

Scripts/instruments started with AirManager are working fine
Trying the same with AirPlayer on the Pi it seems to be that there is no interaction between Pi(AirPlayer) and Desktop(Xplane)

The problem is not only related to IIC. I'm trying for example a software gear switch, working fine with AirManager but not with AirPlayer on the PI.

I'm confused and have no idea to solve the problem.

Connection issue. You can try setting the IP address manually for Air Manager.

Do you mean setting the ip-adress of xplane manual in AirManager?

Otherwise it might be the firewall. You can try by disabling it temporarily.
