SOLVED: My mistake (https://www.forums.siminnovations.com/v ... 820#p47820)
Dear Ralph, Guda, Huberflight, anybody.
Please Help!
Im trying to run Air Player 4.1 in a Raspberry Pi 4 B (ARM 64) 2Gb. I have try all the methods to install the Air Player explained in this thread (https://siminnovations.com/forums/viewt ... +Raspberry) and others, without success and all with the same results. I have try installing the 64 bits and 32 bits versions with the exact same issues.
a) Installing both versions of the Raspberry Pi OS with Desktop for 64 and 32 bits, works like a charm.
b) Installing Air Player ARM64 bits (with RPI OS64 of cource), and Air Player ARM32 with RPI OS32, have problems and are the same.
c) In both cases, I use the Auto Start feature of the AP installer.
Procedures and Results:
1. Rebooting after install
1.1 Air Player doesnt start (ISSUE)
1.2 AirPlayer is running as 'root' (??)
1.3 No 'Air Player' directory is created in /home/pi (ISSUE)
Note that Auto Start file is pressent in .config directory (OK)
2. After killing the proccess and trying to run manually using sudo ./Bootloader:
2.1 Air Player doesnt start (same as 1.1)
2.2 AirPlayer running as 'root' (same as 1.2)
2.3 No 'Air Player' directory is created (same as in 1.3)
3. After killing the proccess and trying to run manually using ./Bootloader:
3.1 Air Player doesnt start (same as 1.1 and 2.1)
3.2 Now AirPlayer is running as 'pi'
3.3 Now 'Air Player' creates the directory (ok), but but no log.txt file (very extrange)
4. After killing the proccess and trying to run ./Bootloader again:
4.1 Air Player doesnt start (same as 1.1, 2.1 and 3.1)
4.2 AirPlayer is running as 'pi' (same as 3.2)
4.3 But now 'Air Player' creates a 'log.txt'file (ok)
log.txt
I repeat all this steps hundred of times.
I repeat all installations 4 times.
I use 64 and 32 versions.
sudo ./Bootloader never touchs 'Air Player' directory.
./Bootloader always show the same results in the log.
NOTE THE LAST LINE IN THE LOG FILE:
Code: Select all
ERROR HardwareRaspberry: Failed to open 'dev/mem'
Im stock with this problem for 3 days and I dont know what im doing wrong. I have buy the Air Player for Desktop license a feew weeks ago, but if Air Player doesnt run, I dont know of it is a licence related issue or someting wrong that im doing.
Please Help, really!
