Hey all I am very new here, Air manager is a massive learning curve for me, I have moved over from mobiflight but need help with either i need the right instrument download or please god help me with the scripts for the above gauges, they are all currently built for the zibo, but I am a 3d builder and a fast learner but the scripts and the how to just confuses the hell out of me.
My setup currently has the above gauges wired to 2 x mega 2560 one on channel A and the other set to Channel B, i have found certain instruments downloaded asking for hardware and only giving 2 pin options to select from where as the steppers are wired up to the Megas's are using 4-5 pins, I have done some searching but nothing ive found touches what im looking for, so please can anyone help or point me in the right direction.

Regards

Wazza

Hi,

check under stepper motor at https://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.p ... pper_motor

am supports the 4 wire control 28y type with the ULN, or, any normal stepper driver using the vid066 method, (that could certainly be better named).
The VID066 is a standard 2 wire with a direction line and a step pulse line.

you can see more details here - https://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.p ... _motor_add

that should tell you all you need hopefully. If what you have downloaded is two connections only it is probably using the industry standard (in AM named VID066) - it could indeed be written for a VID066 which is one of thousands of drivers that support the dir/step 2 wire. The actual vid066 ic is used to drive the X27 type automotive instrument steppers.

You would need to change the code to support the four wire 28Y type and adjust your calibrations and settings accordingly. Look for the hw_stepper_motor_add in the code to start with to see what is being assigned in the code you have.

What is it that you would like to drive with a stepper motor?

Ah, you're right. I probably missed that as well, but you want to build them for MSFS now, or?
