Airplayer, rPI4, virtually impossible to get it running....

#1 Post by raysot »

So, what's the secret sauce here? I've installed the latest and greatest of everything on the latest and greatest rPI4, and just when I'm making headway, I get this error when trying to start Bootloader:

Bash: ./Bootloader: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

IMHO, the old way, with images, was waaaaaay better. I don't have a PhD in computer science so I'm at a loss as to how to get this working.

Any help, or even a flamethrower is welcome at this point. :D

Which version of the OS are you using? 32 or 64 bit? And which version of the application? 32 or 64?

Hi Ralph,

How do you check that on an rPi?

I don't know if this reveals anything... There's no 32/64 info here...

root@raspberrypi:~# cat /etc/os-release

ok I think I got it.... Google to the rescue.

How are you all managing the new rPI approach? I can only imagine your support requests have gone through the roof.

Well actually no... You're one of the few :) I think I can count them on one hand.

I am new to the Raspberry PI 4 and so am also trying to get AirPlayer to run on my new Raspberry PI but am having issues. I downloaded the 64 bit ARM installation zip that should run on my 64 bit RB PI 4 OIS. I followed the instruction to unzip it to an AirPlayer folder on my RB PI 4 desktop. But from there I cannot get the AP bootlegger to run? What do I need to do to execute the AirPlayer program on my RB PI 4.

I am also having problems getting my RB PI 4 set up on my LAN but that is a different issue.

If anyone can point me to a step by step on setting up an RB PI4 on a LAN and getting AirPlayer set up as well it would be GREATLY Appreciated!
