DIY Knobster Expansion?

#1 Post by able724 »

Ok. I'm looking to build a knobster. I've got the hardware picked out and figured out the build, but I find it hard to only use a board like the Arduino Nano just for the Knobster, considering the number of analogue axis and buttons that the board can support.

Has anyone tried to expand the knobster to include additional functionality? Things like analogue trim wheels or other analogue axis or buttons? Also, what about using this device as a general HID device for use in other flight sim games? Like DCS or IL-2?

Thanks for your help.

The Knobster is a Knobster, the IO cannot be used for something else when it is flashed as a Knobster.

Can the Knobster Code be expanded to include additional inputs?

The DIY Knobster is as it is, it is mostly there for legacy. But a Nano clone isn't that expensive.
