Multiple RPis

I have two Raspberry Pi’s, one 3B+ and one 4 both upgraded to the newest AM player desktop ARM thing. My AirManager desktop on the computer used to configure them only recognizes one at a time. If they are both on, only one will show up in the desktop window. If I turn them on one at a time, it recognizes each as already activated but under the same license. What did I mess up here? I will try removing the licenses tomorrow and see if I accidentally attached them both to one but I wouldn’t think the system would let me do that.

Both of my raspberry pi are being assigned the same hardware id. I have reset everything and started over to no avail. Any idea how I can change one of the hardware id? I’m running out of resets over here! Lol.

The hardware ID has no impact on them showing up in Air Manager, they should both show up. Is it just one that does not show up? And is this always the same one?

If I power them both on, which ever powers up first will show up in the desktop. Once i shut that one down, the other one will show up. They never both show up at the same time. I have named them different things in air manager just so I know for sure which is which and it recognizes each separately but never together.

You haven't - perchance - assigned the same fixed IP address to both have you ?

Not to my knowledge. It could have happened though. All I did was put the raspberry pi 64 bit desktop on an SD and then downloaded and setup the airmanager. I will check that soon when I get a chance.
****Update: I checked both configs for the raspberry pi. They have different Mac addresses and up addresses. I’m at a loss here.

It will only see one at a time. If I reboot or power down one, the other pi then shows up until I power it down. I used the raspberry pi app to choose software. Running the 64 bit desktop for both.

Also, the hardware ID from my order screen in air manager is the same that comes up on both pi when I run airplayer from the pi.

Hi Mccluress

we are facing a friend of me with similar issue
see the answer of Ralf for my post

impossible to use 3 raspberry with Air Player
#1 Post by Thierry1957 » Fri Jun 17, 2022 3:09 pm

Hi all

i have migrated to AM Suite version 4.xx
downloaded licences for AM Desktop and 3 Air Player ARM on Raspberry PI 3x are at version 4.1.3
i follow the install process doc on Wiki for the 3 rapsberry SD (install linux distribution, copy the Linux Air player , etc... in each SD which have an unique machine name , ID-machine in Machine.ID and IP address
then came back to AM desktop and surprise, the AM desktop show me only one PI machine and so it is impossible to push the 3 panels gauges i have created for in each PI
they are visible on networt under 3 different IP , but it seems that AM is unable to localize the 3
any solution ???
another question , how can i uninstall properly the an Airplyer from an SD
if start again the process from skratch by formating SD and redo the process installation, it seems that when i restart the Air player SD in AM desktop , it tell me that licence is in use

This is fixed in the upcoming release, somewhere next week.

+1 Same behaviour. Air manager randomly sees ony one Raspberry on 3 (Air manager and Air Player updated yesterday with the last V4 release)
