rotate map

I found some old threads in this forums about the missing of a map rotation option.
I am also missing this feature .
Can you guys tell if, and when this be possible?

Hi,

No map rotate was asked for so that we could do things like north up and heading up.
I think @Corjan had that on his todo list.

Just worked on rotating the map last couple of days.
It seems to work now I think. The map will rotate, but the layer text/images/canvas won't.

I'll try to push a new BETA build today, but might not be able to because of a crappy internet connection.

I was able to download the beta quite fast.
Briefly tested the new rotating map feature; seems to function!!
