At the moment I have Air Manager running on Windows and am creating a number of gauges for the planes I fly (Prepar3D). I also have an iPad and am looking at the possibility to (also) use the Air Manager app on that platform. I was just wondering, is it possible to upload the gauges I am creating for Windows to an iPad (and do they use the same Lua script) or is it only possible to use the standard available gauges.
Greetings,
Theo.

Re: How to get self created gauges on an iPad
It's not possible to do have file management or download files from within an app on the iPad. So that's not possible.
The only option would be to share your instruments with us so we can add them to the library.

I don't quite agree with you. I have programs for reading books (Stanza and Marvin) and it is possible to download epub files to my iPhone / iPad that can be read from within these programs. The same goes for programs like Pages, Numbers, Keynotes and quite a lot more that are present on my mobile Apple devices. So it must be possible to download certain files (through iTunes) to a program on an iPhone / iPad. I don't know if Air Manager can be accessed in the same manner and if that is indeed possible, if the instruments can be used.

Re: How to get self created gauges on an iPad
I understand that it can be difficult to get programs approved by apple that allow files to be added but I would love this feature. My Ipad is my only touch screen and I love using it while flying but I have started to make a panel specifically for my Ipad and would love to be able to test it and use it during development.

Hi,
Like jml79 said, it is not a technical limitation, the question is if apple would allow such a feature. They are not that keen (understatement) in apps recreating there app store. They would probably insist on using stuff like in-app purchases. In an ideal world, we would also like to couple our online store (desktop one) op the iPad as well.
I will start that fight with apple when the time is right. The fact that the desktop and iPad versions use a different rendering core (javafx vs openGL) means that the instrument code differs slightly. So before we can allow pushing instruments from the desktop to the iPad, this issue has to be resolved. This will be done in Air Manager 2.2 for desktop, which will also use the openGL core, like the iPad.
