I updated AirPlayer last week to version 3.5, running on Windows 7. After update the program crashes to desktop immediately after start without loading the panel. I cannot find a logfile in the AirPlayer folder, but Windows just registers an application crash event to the application log (accessible via the event viewer).
I found a workaround, but would like to know if there is a better solution:
- run the bootloader and airplayer in 'compatibility' mode for 'Windows XP SP2'.
- disable the UAC prompt to allow auto-start of AirPlayer
The machine only runs Windows default security software: no additional firewalls or virus scanners.
Ideas, tips?
AirPlayer crashes on start after update to 3.5
Re: AirPlayer crashes on start after update to 3.5
Maybe the same issue as Air Manager. We'll probably make a hotfix for Air Player as well.

Ok! Can i turn off auto-update on AirPlayer? I want to run it unattended...

Re: AirPlayer crashes on start after update to 3.5
To disable auto update we have to run aiplayer.exe in place of bootloader.exe
I've just updated to Air Player 3.5 Final on Windows 7 and get the same issue related to ntdll.dll
so we can't run Air Player nor Air Player Beta

I've just check that both versions (Final and Beta) are able to launch, when in Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) compatibility mode and running on Windows 7
