Hello.
I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Marcin.
I'm new on this forum and I use Air Manager short time with MSFS 2020.
I’ve just built DYI knobster.
I have strange problem.
After flashing, knobster is properly discovered by Air Manager.
I’ve set it up with panel and knobster is turned on.
After running the sim and showing the panel on touch screen,
I can turn the knobs, I see knobs rotating on the touch screen, but values don’t change.
I’ve tried it with G1000 and with standard steam gauge panel.
I’ve searched forum but I couldn’t find answer for my problem.
My Air Manger version is: 4.2.4
Could you help me?
Regards.
Marcin.
DIY Knobster not working
Re: DIY Knobster not working
I've just installed previous version of Air Manager 4.1.6 and knobster started to work, so there is propably some kind of a bug in new version.
I saw a thread about that, but the version 4.2.4 should resolve problem, but for me it didn't.
And there was another strange problem that I discovered, all buttons on touch screen didn't work in version 4.2.4.
So now I'm on version 4.1.6.
Regards.
Marcin.

Re: DIY Knobster not working
Hi Marcin @palmar, at first I would say the knobster may work on some USB hub and not on some other, I have no idea why this occurs.
Please don't miss to mention the used aircraft in the sim, which may also help to decipher.
Now, I checked with 4.2.4 and it seems to be handled properly using two "Generic - Garmin G1000 NXi Overlay" from Simstrumentation. One is set as PFD and the other as MFD. So, I can confirm it works
Additionally, nos issue with buttons handling on Touch screen : checked OK atm

Re: DIY Knobster not working
Hi,
First, thanks for answers.
I was prepared to go through ideas, but…
So, after work, I reinstalled, again, newest version 4.2.4 of Air Manager, but not through auto update but I downloaded install file from web and run it.
After install and running AM, I started MSFS, there was some new update of the sim.
After that update of MSFS, I setup new G1000 panel with the knobster.
Everything worked perfectly fine form first run.
I don’t know what really helped. Fresh install of AM? Or maybe new update of MSFS.
I’m testing that on C172 with G1000 panel from AM (not G1000NXi)
DIY Knobster is connected through USB hub.
Next step for me is buying two touch screens (now I have only 7” test setup).
What screen size would you recommend? 14” or 15”.
As I know G1000 screen size is 10,4”, but I need place for frame, buttons, etc.
Regards.
Marcin.
