Don't know how to troubleshoot

Hi I have a DIY Knobster that was working. I stopped simming for about 6 months and it no longer works. It shows up in the Device Manager as "USB-SERIAL CH340 (COM5)" On Air Manager it shows the knobster icon and "Searching on port 'COM5'. Under the general settings I have COM5 selected. The Channel: No channel and the State: disconnected.

I don't know where to begin troubleshooting. I have tried different ports and swapped out the USB cable.

Any advise?

A device with a CH340 usb to serial converter will change the com port if you plug it into another different usb port whereas an FTDI unit will not.
Remove the device from AM completely then reinstall the device using com 5 - and dont change usb ports otherwise you will have the same issue. ;)
