One other expectation would be :

to get a batch feature for instruments submission :)
Something like triggering a batch which will handle the multiple instruments sending through divided emails, as I guess many instruments at once in a single email send would create potential issues ...

I guess my upcoming nearly 70 instruments submission (I think through the current day) will be a hassle for Tony's tasks ;)

That's already possible as far as I know.

As already mentioned in my post, the need is to split the submission into a few several emails, so the package itself wouldn't be to large before it reach Sim Innovations infrastructure, or create issue while sending
Perhaps this doesn't make any sense if there's not any issue triggered, like the situation where I have to send the 70 instruments in one shot, with an overall size of 67 MB for the SIFF equivalent package ??? 🤔
Again I've not performed this process even a single time, so I will try as you suggested Ralph and report if any issue ...

Hi @Ralph and Tony @Sling, I had typically the case this night where I've made 3 submissions :

#1 : 29 x selected instruments in one submission
#2 : 48 x selected instruments in one submission
#3 : 1 x selected panel submission

I've received the #1 and #3 confirmation by email, but not the #2 confirmation for the 48 selected at once

Could you confirm if you have received this specific submission on your side ???

Code: Select all

2023-09-12 00:16:57.257 INFO Submit Instrument Window - Successfully submitted instrument(s)
2023-09-12 00:27:29.170 INFO Submit Instrument Window - Successfully submitted instrument(s)
2023-09-12 00:31:29.677 INFO Submit Panel Window - Successfully submitted panel(s)
... and this is why I was right at wondering on the submission process reliability, when there's a huge amount of instruments submitted at once ... 🤔 hence the suggested new feature !! ...

Having multiple emails is a bad thing from a submissions perspective. Much quicker and easier to have everything in a single .siff. Having to save and strip out 70 different instruments from 70 emails is very cumbersome and a waste of time. I’d always urge sending multiple submissions in one .siff file if possible. Now if AM could import multiple .siff’s at once my view may change but currently it doesn’t support that.

Yes 3 emails were received. Also got a failed to send email message for the confirmation mail back to you. So it seems it was only the tiny confirmation email to you that failed and only on one of the three.

Will these previous 4.1 boards be discontinued in 4.2 and 4.3 ?

Will there be room for D1 Mini / any NodeMcu based, or some unknown expectation ?

One thing that would help me is a "step forward" and "step backward" (thats Ctrl+Z and...?) button in the toolbar or the editor. Sometimes I program something, get entangled with all that code, realize it was better before so I need to go back. The function is already integrated, and a button would make life even easier for me.
Would anyone else use this?

💡 - I would like to see the ribbon bar revamped a bit, at least for two icons I don't find very handy on usage, these are the Show and Hide icons/buttons on the Home tab, I rather would see them merged into only one single button which would display "Show/Hide" label not changing and see only the lighted yellow light bulb displayed when the Panel is shown, then see the greyed light bulb displayed when the panel isn't shown, would be very handy like a two states switch, together with an universal visual understanding ...
