Hi Ralph,
it would work, but it still would need to be connected to an arduino or supported uProcessor and code written. It would also need a suitable case depending what the user requires which is unclear.

Bodner does a similar thing at bodner prices ;)

Yep, something like the PropWash encoder kit combined with a Teensy USB board and packaged in a manner similar to the Knobster. My other encoders use a Teensy USB board and are programmed via Arduino. I have done some programming mods through Arduino and am confident I could program the new one. But I just don't have the setup to package that all together as described.

I think that he wants a dedicated encoder for the G5. Correct? In that case using an Arduino is the easiest solution. You can hook it up to the G5 instrument directly.

Yes - a dedicated Arduino encoder for the G5.

I will then use the existing Knobster for the left knob of the G500 using KnobXP. I currently control the right knob of the G500 with another encoder using Arduino.

If you want to try a bezel instrument for the reality xp g500 I just uploaded one, and it’s also in the instruments in. Progress forum section.
