Hi,
I am new to this forum. So I hope the question is asked in the correct part of the forum?
I have the G1000 HW from TRC, see link -> https://www.simkits.com/product/trc1000 ... s-cockpit/
I use it with Prepar3D V5.3.
MSFS2020 is not supported. They do not have a roadmap for MSFS2020.
I have no SW programming skills.
The G1000 is visible as HID USB device, see picture below. If this HW would be visible in Air Manager, I could use the G1000HW for MSFS2020
Questions:
What is needed to get their existing HW added to the Air Manager HW list?
It woulld be a dream come true if somene in this forum can help me.
In case of not getting community support, I would need a description of what is expected from TRC to write the needed HW interface for Air Manager.
If you have other ideas, this is also highly appreciated.
TRC1000 Glass Cockpit (G1000)
Re: TRC1000 Glass Cockpit (G1000)
That's not possible in Air Manager. But isn't it possible to assign events to joystick buttons in MSFS?
Re: TRC1000 Glass Cockpit (G1000)
Sorry, I thought you meant joystick, I didn't read careful enough. Then indeed TRC is your only option.
Re: TRC1000 Glass Cockpit (G1000)
Software Development Kit
The TRC1000 is a so-called HID-device. This means that no special low-level drivers are necessary to interface the buttons and rotaries information to your PC. Upon request information is available how to read the information of rotaries and buttons. Interfacing to self-written BASIC or “C” programs is therefore quite easy.
Re: TRC1000 Glass Cockpit (G1000)
If it was recognised as a game controller (joystick etc) you could use Air Manager to turn the button pushes into MSFS events using the game_controller() API. It doesn’t sound like it is though.
