I agree. Worrying, but also full of possibilities. Both good and bad :)
I'm fascinated by Dall-E, I wish I could use it endlessly if it were possible.

This was one of the creations, when trying to recreate a painting that my grandmother had.

Hi,

That is true with every piece of technology I think. It can always be used for good and bad.

Having the ability to change any text to be sarcastic is really funny. I asked chatGPT to change the Air Manager description on our shop:
Behold, the ultimate instrument panel tool that will revolutionize the way you experience flight simulation (or at least make you feel like you're doing something productive). Air Manager is a super complex and super user-friendly desktop application that lets you manage and create 2D instrument panels for basically every flight simulator ever made. And the cherry on top? You can run as many panels as your computer can handle, on as many monitors as you can afford. And if you're feeling particularly adventurous, you can even download instruments for free, create and modify them yourself, or spend some money on our premium panels that are basically the same as the free ones but with a fancy logo. Plus, you can control the instruments with your mouse, touch screen (unless you're using a Mac, in which case you're out of luck), or even connect some hardware if you're feeling really fancy. And if all of that wasn't enough, Air Manager is available on every operating system known to man. So why wait? Upgrade your flight simulation experience today!

Also having the ability to (seemingly) have a sensible discussion can really help. I had quite a long chat with the AI to discover what I code I should use to determine a unique hardware identifier on an Android device. I would say it helped me just as much as a collegue would, and certainly way better than googling.

That is most amazing @Ralph
Almost Wilhelm von Gegerfelt(ish)
I have not used Dall-E yet.
I do love the name as a reference to Salvador Dali and a take on the film WALL-E :D - excellent name for this AI.
This was all done from you written description and discussion yes ?
It is truly remarkable.

I mainly use chatGPT for advanced programming questions, of for clarifying my understanding on varying issues of a particular language that it is aware of (all major languages at this time)

I would love to use the DALL-E as well. These are all likely to become subscription at some point - well, the more specialist ones like DALL-E) but I have no issue with that.
I have no current 'subscriptions' to any net based service apart from my ISP. I don't use mobile data I don't pay for TV access etc. - Oh, I tell a lie, I DO pay 49 euro per annum for exclusive access to F1TV.com (the official F1 site with live streaming and data and historical replays and data).
Apart from that that is it.

Were you describing the image from pure memory or did you have the image to refer to when describing ?

As for good and bad well, it is interesting to have discussions with it to try to draw out it's programmed or firewalled views.
Asking if its output can exceed it's input capabilities is interesting. The wording needs o be able to drill down though as it will attempt to 'firewall' you with a standard 'I rely on groups of ethical input designers so no group can override the core rules' etc. but then start asking i about autocracies where one person can control ALL groups > interesting answers and it is being constrained by rules as to the answers to try to remain neutral - it will admit that - it will not admit it is BEST to do that etc.
Discussions about - allegedly ;) - fictitious beings and beliefs like 'god', the tooth fairy, and Santa Claus also dig deep and are revealing.
Extremely and utterly amazing and fascinating.

While trying to understand what ChatGPT is and how it can be used (and misused), I came across this article on LUA coding. If it can learn the AM-syntax, it should be possible to write certain parts of instruments.

edit: Oh, I asked it to read through the wiki and write some instrument code afterwards. Generic in a way, but amazing! :o

Hi,

I actually tried the same thing couple of months ago, but couldn't get it to parse the API page correctly.

It kept responding with generic information about Air Manager.

Might be fun to try again :)

As chatGPT refuses to crawl webpages (there is probably a workaround, but haven't found it yet) you need to enter each webpage separately like this:
now go to https://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.p ... Button_add and learn new information. stay quiet once you are done.
Try entering each single line, it's only 183 in the attached file :-)

You can test it afterwards:

edit: I'm getting confusing messages on whether chatGPT inserts the data or not. Talking about max URLs, not being able to access webpages but then
again it's doing its stuff. Hm.
