I give up.
It's waste of time to educate windows centric people.
Far from the case old chap. Horses for courses et al. In this case, then Microsoft Windows is the absolute go to choice. It is absolutely free. Costs you nothing. Yet you 'refuse' (so it seems ?) to use it. You can dual boot it if you like ?.
Being so anti 'windows' is similar to being 'anti vax'. It becomes an almost 'political cause' in a lot of cases as opposed to a genuine requirement. I am not 'anti' linux. I am just purely aware of it's(often vast) limitations in a world where the populace use a preferred OS. If I needed to use 'linux' for a specific requirement (not I can think of - but perhaps something may ?) then I would use a VERY secure usb boot option to complete the task. If it relied on linux, and I REALLY wanted it and had no better option such as Windows, then I would definitely choose Linux - as in a Pi or similar SBC.
In fact, that is only an example, I would in the real world , use a small dedicated windows PC offering far more flexibility. (in the case of AM and flight sims in general).
Just reality, not political or 'moral' persuasion or fundamentalism. Use what is best for the job.

Hi,

It is a business decision here. It makes more sense to make stuff for a big group of people, instead of a small group.

If you want me to, I can send you the hex files, so you can flash it yourself,

A while back I noticed that the source of avrdude, shouldn't be to hard to compile it on Linux and Mac, so that will fix it. Right now AM uses a precompiled version of avrdude specially for windows.

Hey,

Please don't go into the whole Linux vs Windows debate, it is so pointless :)
They both have there ups and downs. And deep down we all know that Mac is superiour ;)

Thank you Corjan for nice answer.

I agree - no need for Windows/Linux debate.
I just described my situation.
If you can send HEX file I would be grateful.
Flashing is not problem.
