Searching for Flight Simulator...
I'm wondering if the latest update to MSFS broke Air Manager? I am up-to-date on Air Manager and have gone through the "Connection Problems" document on the Wiki. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Re: Searching for Flight Simulator...
Update : I manually launched the FS2020 Bridge service and that worked. Seems like I have to do that each time.
Re: Searching for Flight Simulator...
No. Everything working fine here. There was a time when the bridge would need to be stopped and started again like you did when things stopped responding but that has not been required for quite a while now. If all the AM stuff is up to date then perhaps Windows is playing games like it tends to do from time to time.MarkAClements wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 1:27 am I'm wondering if the latest update to MSFS broke Air Manager? Re: Searching for Flight Simulator...
A good habit would be to exclude both "FS2020BridgeService.exe" process name and "C:\Program Files\FS2020BridgeService" folder name from Windows Defender and/or any other real-time security scan tool, in order to avoid the implicit lock/release decay time, when the Operating System see the executable and path will be used on launch. This occurs systematically and if not excluded, may bring some unexpected issue.

Re: Searching for Flight Simulator...
I was getting similar issues, tried reinstalling AirManager & Plugin, disabling firewall, rebooting etc, but no luck...
Then in AirManager I went into settings and clicked "clear persistence" and restarted and it starting working with a clean looking log...
Prior to doing the "clear persistence" I was getting lots of SimBusServer errors.
I've never seen those SimBusServer INFO messagaes until just now so it's looking like everything's working 100% ok now (no errors in log).
I also have to manually start C:\Program Files\FS2020BridgeService\FS2020BridgeService.exe

Re: Searching for Flight Simulator...
Persistence has nothing to do with the flight simulator connection, so that sounds like a coincidence.
Are you using the beta plugin?

I have installed Airmanager 4.0 and the FS simmlink, When I start airmanager I always see a notice on the lower right that is saying ; " seraching for flight simulator. When I did install the simlink I could cleARLy see that it founf MSFS2020 and installed the bridge.

I had that issue before. In my experience just stop process on task manager, delete the plugin's folder and reinstall it. It should do it.

Are you maybe using the beta plugin?
