The main MFD is likely impossible to develop in AM. The navigation display is way too complicated to implement in Air Manager, not mentionning the liumited availability of external variables to work with. That's the very reason you have never seen any ND display instrument in the store.

AFAIK The only attempt in Air Manager to do an ND for the 737 was the work from a guy (don't recall his name, sorry) that unfortunately passed away before he was finished. The ND display recreated from scratch took him months if not years to develop. Heavy math calculations involved
Don't know what happened to his work in progress, @Keith Baxter guess you had contact with him at the time?

Yes, AM is probably not the tool for that.
ZHSI for example, developed from XHSI is down and dirty coding. Horses for courses.

Jacques,
I did indeed. I plan to rework Dirk's (jedeen on this forum) ND some time. Both Gilles @SimPassion and I worked with him on a mip project.

I believe @jph bought his cockpit. Not sure if he has all the coding.

Joe, You got me tearing up now. :(
We are shortly going OT here @JackZ . But I do not care...
What many did not know is that Dirk was a man confronting many health challenges while building his loved sim. Loving his sim, he used the joy it gave him to get over the pain he was going through health wise. :( :( :(

His awesome work is still alive here. Miss this guy but his work lives on for all to respect and enjoy. Wonderful forum member.

He had a very few clips on youtube.

Dirk had a website on his build with images and plans. I cannot find it. Might have expired. Not sure???
However this will always be with us and give insight into how much effort go's into creating instruments of this nature. Many hours....

Strange how all this is coming up to September

His site is no more reachable. I guess the original domain jedeen.nl has been closed by his near family : http://www.jedeensim.nl/engels/tq_en.html
