Cessna 172S G1000 cockpit on Xplane 11 and MSFS 2020 using Air manager

#1 Post by Mako.creative »

Hello all,

I’m going to set up my Cessna 172S G1000 cockpit on Xplane 11 and MSFS 2020 using Air manager with extra two 15.6” touchscreen monitor and my laptop.

I have a few questions to someone who has experience.

1. How does the air manager compare to the G1000 simulator? Is there limited function? Except using the knobster.

2. My goal is to use the unit for flight simulator for Cessna 172 G1000/PFD and MFD. is there any problems or issues with using the air manager?

3. I’m not that computer friendly but does it require coding or professional knowledge to use?

I look forward to your reply

I think that you missed the fact that we do not have a G1000, only an overlay.

Thanks for your reply Ralph.
I think I worded the question unusually.
Like I said in my post, I plan on setting up Cessna 172S G1000 glass cockpit with my two touch screen monitors rather than buying a G1000 Sim unit.

Do you mean you don’t have a G1000? But does the air manager allow me to control the G1000 in the simulation using control bezzels on my extra touch screens?
Of course I need the knobster.

That's correct, we do not have a G1000 but rely on pop-outs. You do not necessarily need the Knobster, but it makes it easier to control.
