one laptop set up

My question will expose me as a novice newbie .... I am attempting (and failing) to run xplane 11 and air manager on one laptop with the following three display setup:

1: laptop monitor showing air manager cessna instrument panel
2: external monitor with outside cockpit display
3: realsim gear 430

What settings do I need in Air Manager, X Plane and Windows Display to do this? I wasn't able to find anything in the wiki or the forums.

I can confirm that it’s definitely doable, as I currently have 4 monitors including the laptop one with XPlane on my ACER Predator running AM. It’s only a matter of multiple monitors setting in W10.

Question is though, do you have a gaming laptop, with a separate embedded graphic card such as a Nvidia GTX 1070M or the like?
Usually there are two ports for external monitors in that case, like a DP display port and an HDMI port. Those two ports should work with the graphic card, sometimes the external graphic card needs to be activated via a key press combination (see your specific laptop documentation) so that it takes over the internal graphic processor.
The third monitor in my case is run via an USB to VGA adapter, there is a small driver that needs to be installed.

If you only have a regular laptop with only the internal graphic processor that comes with the processor itself (such as Intel HD version or the like), the capabilities are far less extended and more than likely you’ll be stuck with one external monitor at the same time only, due to the limited capabilities of the internal graphic processor
