Disgusted and Disapointed

#1 Post by Spad »

I am absolute disgusted and terribly disappointed that you have DOUBLED the price of Air Manager!!!

Why have you done this??? Just like all other developers for PC flight simulators, the prices of an add on is now getting ridiculous. I have come to love using a second computer (that is almost ten years old) for my instruments as it frees up resources on my main PC to run X-Plane.

I do not work due to disabilities and as a result I do not have a lot of money. Flying on my PC is one of the things that keeps me sane but slowly and surely I am being priced out of updating to new version as the prices are now beyond a joke... I understand you want to make money as this is the idea of setting up a business.... BUT more than doubling the cost to 65 Euro from 30 Euro is just to much....

Hi,

Actually, more then doubled :)

But seriously, I'm sorry you feel this way.
The short answer is that the market isn't that big, so people that want to make a living out of the sim market kinda have to ask such prices.

Maybe it comforts you to know that we don't do this stuff to get rich. For me personally, I could make almost twice the salary working for a big firm instead of doing this.
I'm not complaining since I like the things I do, but just saying...

Note that you can still keep using 2.1.3, we will still support it, although no new updates will come out for 2.1.3,

I bloody adore this add on and its by far the best one I have bought.... but it's just to much...

I used to run my own business and like you, it was sepcialised... but my sale ethos was sell a lot at a little. This worked.... It earnt me regular sales! Lots of them in fact!! I also did it for the love of it...

Hey,

I'm sorry to hear that, but we think the product is actually worth it.
As a thank you to our existing AM 2.1.3 users, we offered the 30 euro discount. We feel this is a fair deal for both our users and us alike.

But thanks for speaking out,

Corjan

I disagree.... It's far to expensive... upping it by 20 - 30% maybe be even 50% would of been fare but 100% plus increase is not....

A lot of the guys I fly with are becoming very very disillusioned with the prices being charged for add ons.

I have to agree. One question also, Do you need a license for every raspberry pi you want to use also? If so that can get expensive.

Guys, I agree, it's a bunch on money.

However, what do you expect jumping from 2.1.3 to 3.0? It's got new features, which are very good news
for cockpit-builders. If we don't need this new functionality, we can stay with 2.1.3 at no extra charge.

I understand what you are saying but at the same time if you factor in the costs of the plugins licenses, plus raspberry pi's it is not cost effective in my opinion if you have a working version that suites your needs. You could convert real aviation gauges for less(at least I could).

And how much of Ver2 is in Ver3????? Did they start from the ground and completely rebuild it???? If not and the used a lot or a part of Ver2 does that justify a 100% increase in price???

Also just to point out.... This is an add on that now costs more than the actual software that we use it for!! It's the same with most flight sims now. Some of the really good aircraft for X-Plane are between 50 - 70 Euro... X-Plane is only 50Euro!
