My bad. I made a small error in my code while testing earlier so i didn't get the right result. I can confirm that _state also works.

I also just downloaded the vertical switch (version 3) and the code in the one i got uses _position. I wonder if the code you have is from an older download.

It would make sense to allow it to still work so as not to break older instruments. However I think its absence from the wiki and code editor syntax colouring indicates that you should not use it for new designs.

Yes Tony, I've just observed the update to "position" in last rev
It's indeed the old revision I was using, but as you stated, eventually working properly
nevermind, I will update to switch_set_position, in any case, thanks for the advice
