Twotter engine instruments not working anymore in P3D

#1 Post by den4 »

I've been using the TOE extended for a while now but all of a sudden yesterday all the engine instruments have stopped working, with the exception of the prop rpm gauges.

This only occurs with P3D V2.5. FSX Steam works perfectly as usual.

What I have tried so far is : -
Reinstalling the latest update for the Twotter from Aerosoft.
Reinstalling the Airmanager.dll to the simpit main pc. AM runs on the slave pc.
Reinstalling MS VC Redist.
Doing a system restore to when it was running OK.
Tried the AM V3 beta, same problem.

The above suggests the problem is P3D rather than AM but I've no idea what to try next.

Any suggestions?
Regards

They might use different LVAR's, although that would be a bit weird. We'll check it out, but not soon, since we're going to an important show next week.

I will look into iot next week while they are at the show. I am on P3D v3 .[something] now and it is working okay.

Can you open the Viewer window in the create tab, select the engine cluster, click the green run arrow and see if there are any values displayed there for the faulty instruments.

Problem solved.

Do you ever get one of those days where you feel a perfect idiot. Well I just had one (except I'm not perfect at it yet but I'm still practising).
I was only trying to use the TOE instruments wilth the original Twotter- which I Thought I'd removed from the hangar when I installed the extended. Unfortunalelt one aircraft was left and I'd picked that one in error.
It was when I took Russ's advice and looked in the viewer and saw all the unassigned values that I twigged what I'd done
