G5 in HSI displays erroneous headings

#1 Post by SkyCat »

I’m running AM 4.0 on a desktop with XP 11.55. I purchased two G5s for my C172SP panel — one for the PFD and the other for an HSI.

The trouble is that the full HSI numeric heading (shown in the lower left of the instrument will exceed 360-degrees and display wild heading values of, for instance, 547-degrees.

Not sure what to make of it or how to correct it.

I've never seen or heard about that, to me it sounds like the data from X-Plane is wrong. Because this number on the HSI just shows whatever is coming from X-Plane, there's no magic or calculations. In the Create/Edit tab, open the Viewer, go to the X-Plane tab and search for the heading dataref.

My G5 running under P3D has been perfect for over a year now.
