I have a brand new Windows 10 flightsim laptop replacing my PC. Easier to take with me to meetings and exibitions to demonstrate Air Manager (when meetings are allowed again). I have installed X-Plane 11. When installing the AM plugin it's installed for X-Plane and FS2020. But I have no FS2020, only X-Plane.

It’s the FS2020 bridge service that gets installed but the installer currently has no way of knowing if you have FS2020 or not so it just installs it for everyone.

The service does not use any resources, so you don't have to worry about that either. But you can manually remove it if you want.

Unfortunately it does use resources. After installation FS2020BridgeService is running as a service immediately. I don't like that.
The FS2020BridgeService directory can't be deleted straight away because it's in use. To remove it:
1. In the task manager: kill the service FS2020BridgeService
2. Delete the directory Program Files\FS2020BridgeService.
There should be a way to detect if FS2020 is installed or not. I don't own FS2020 so I can't help with that. Otherwise, add checkboxes to the plugin installer to select what will be installed.
