So it are the autopilot messages that aren't correct?

Correct.

At the top it should say
LOC and then GS
or
GPS and GP.

It properly detects the GS or GP.. Just not the Lateral indication.

Thanks.

Thanks! I'll check it out tomorrow. I'm also going to change GPS1 on the HSI to GPS. Unfortunately I can't get any CDI annunciations from RealityXP, so nothing there.
Philip from Laminar Research said that CDI annunciations from the default X-Plane GPS's will be added in an upcoming version, so that's at least something if you fly X-Plane with the default GPS :)

Hello Ralph,

I tested the 1.31.

i'm searching youtube to find a link with how the G5 works with the gfc500.. The big deal is the autopilot doesn't have an annunciation which is why i use the G5 device.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZz_fb_otxc

at 55:15 you see how GPS changes to green from white when it captures Lateral.
at 56:10 you see how GP changes to green from white when it captures GlidePath.

ILS operates the same way instead it says LOC and GS white then green.

I'm willing to remote my screen if it helps in anyway. I'll be flying the real G5s again in a couple of weeks and can make a video of it also.

Thanks Ralph.

What do you refer to when you say CDI annunciations because you may be able to derive them from other data depending on what they are. I remember having to do something like this before.

From Philip Ringler, go ahead ;)
  • ENR: 2.0/2.5 two miles equals full deflection (2.5 dots)
  • MAPR/DPRT: 0.3/2.5 0.3 miles equals full deflection
  • TERM: linear from 2/2.5 to 1/2.5 during 30 -> 28 miles from departure or destination airport
  • APR: starting at 2 miles from FAF, decrease to 0.3/2.5
  • LNAV: after FAF, decrease from 0.3/2.5 down to 0.0576/2.5 (350ft/2.5 dots) at the missed approach point
  • LPV: tan(3.0degrees/2.5dots*degtorad)*distance to FPAP (angular like a localizer).

I have done nothing to the HSI needle code, so I think that's a RealityXP issue.

Hello Ralph,

You were correct. it was a freq change between real life and sim.

Any news on the autopilot lateral notifications on G5?
