Strange effect when moving instruments between screens

#1 Post by solo86 »

Hi
I'm running Air Manager v2.1.3 on Win10.
I have 2 Monitors.
Monitor 1 is a standard 1080 monitor whereas monitor 2 is a 4k TV/monitor.
In Display properties I have Monitor 2 above monitor 1
In Air Manager (on monitor 2 my main monitor) I have loaded the Cessna 172 panel.

As I move the instruments down the screen they
- start to appear on monitor 1
- then jump back up to monitor 2 as a smaller (higher resolution) image.
- I then move the instrument back down and it appears on Monitor 1 but if I move it near the bottom of monitor 1 it immediately jumps back up to monitor 2 the bigger size (1920x1080?).
- Then as I move it down to monitor 1 it appears on monitor 1 but as it nears the bottom of monitor 1 it then jumps again back up to monitor2 as a smaller (4k?) size.
- This is as far as it will go.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Can anyone give me some idea on what is happening here?
Thanks
Peter

Why not place them on the screen you want and change it to the correct size? It probably has to do with the Windows scaling setting.

Is there a way in Air Manager to make it display on a chosen screen rather than just the main monitor?

In 3.0 you can, not with 2.1.3. But you can manually adjust the X and Y in numbers. Have you looked at the scaling?

Hi Ralph
I looked at scaling and found the main monitor (4k) was set at 200% and the other monitor (1080p) at 100%.
So I changed the 4k monitor to 1080p and set the scaling to 100% so both monitors matched.
This didn't help at all and just made it so the instruments would only go half way down on the second monitor and then no further.
I may have to move to v3 when it is released. When is it going to be released?
I am participating in the v3 beta process but thats on a different pc. How do I download the latest beta version? to install on this pc?

It's released on the 30th of November. All beta's are on the wiki: http://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.ph ... =Main_Page

Thanks Ralph

Not long to v3 release then.
Installed the v3 beta. Is there a Cessna 172 panel similar to that in v2? I couldn't see one and that's what I'm trying to use in v2.
