Panels not saving in AM4
Panels not saving in AM4
Hello,
I was forced to get AM4 and Air Player 4, and I am getting used to the new stuff. Am I missing something obvious? I am adding a panel, it shows, it hides, all ok. But after exiting and re-starting the Air Manager, the panel is missing.
The same for Air Player 4 - I can add and show the panel, but after Air Player restart (or computer restart), there is no panel.
Using the latest beta for both of them.
Sorry for the terrible noise, I had a fan running and the phone adjusted the recording volume too much

Thank you!

I see that you're using the 4.1 beta. I have a different issue with the beta, but not this one You can have a look in the log, but there might not be anything useful in there.
Re: Panels not saving in AM4
So it works for the others? Highly doubt that this problem would be only on my computer...

Re: Panels not saving in AM4
I just installed Air Manager 4.1 BETA 6 (fresh install), and I observe the same issue.
Steps
- Import personal instruments exported from AM 4.0.2
- Import personal panels exported from AM 4.0.2
- Add Panel(s) to Home tab
In the attached log one can see the following messages
After closing and restarting AM, the added panel(s) are not listed anymore.

Same problem. After closing, everything is gone. On Beta only.

Paul, that database might be corrupt ('m not the expert). Throw away the config.sqlite3 and you should be fine.

@Ralph
I did as suggested but the issue remains. See the attached log. And it's not only happening on the personal panels. I did test with default Cessna 172 as well.

Re: Panels not saving in AM4
Some more information on the issue:
One does not need to add panels. Even the 'Demo Panel' does not get installed/configured on a clean install (e.g. without a previous 'C:\Users\<user>\Air Manager BETA' folder).
I did roll back to the previous BETAs. BETA 6, 5, 4 and 3 had the same issue when installed clean. A clean install of BETA 2 did not show the issue. And updating from a BETA 2 to BETA 6 (without deleting that user folder) looks ok.

Hi,
Probably made a fault with the latest db change. That one was on the panels table, so that makes sense.
Will take a look by the end of next week, dont have much time unfortunately.

As is, Beta is useless.
