Hi.,
I had the older version (3.7?) which worked fine but I popped for the upgrade and my life has been harder ever since!
I installed the new plug-in into x-plane-11... with out issue. Everything is updated and current on that machine.
In a different machine (but on the same network hub) I installed AM 4.0 without issue. When I start it I see "connected to x-plane" on the lower right.
I pick a panel, any panel.... press show, and the software immediately shouts down without warning.
My log file looks like this:
2021-05-18 20:24:29 INFO EntityManager - Starting Air Manager Home Use 4.0.1 (Home Use, Activated) (JAVA=1.8.0_181-1-ojdkbuild)

I have no idea why it is not "binding" to the Sim.
I have tried the suggestions here.... graphics card modes, turning this or that off.... nothing. The plugin looks OK on the x-plane side, as best I can tell.
HELP!!!
Thanks!
AM 4.0 Crashes on "Show" !!!
Re: AM 4.0 Crashes on "Show" !!!
I getting crashes too after the latest patch release (was ok in initial 4.0 release) - as soon as the panel starts up and is initialising it crashes. I have a workaround which is to clone the panel. Then clone runs ok. Next time I start up though the clone crashes too. So I have to clone the panel every time I restart. This panel has several hardware items attached, and custom instruments. The bog standard demo panel runs ok.
Re: AM 4.0 Crashes on "Show" !!!
Got your support ticket as well, so I will not reply to this message. uptimist, please send in a support ticket as well.
Re: AM 4.0 Crashes on "Show" !!!
Any update on this? I'm dead in the water!! Don't even need to run the simulator. Pressing 'Show' on a panel with any instrument crashes AM 4.01.
Re: AM 4.0 Crashes on "Show" !!!
It's a national holiday in the Netherlands, tomorrow I'm back at work.
Re: AM 4.0 Crashes on "Show" !!!
LOL....sorry Ralph! I can't even keep up with USA holidays! I know NOTHING of holidays in NL!
Re: AM 4.0 Crashes on "Show" !!!
Quick question, are you maybe using an Intel GPU?
Re: AM 4.0 Crashes on "Show" !!!
Yes. On-board Intel video.
Re: AM 4.0 Crashes on "Show" !!!
Okay, the usual suspect. There's something wrong with Intel GPU's, we're not sure what. I'm also not sure if we can fix it, might be a problem in the Intel drivers.
Re: AM 4.0 Crashes on "Show" !!!
Interesting. Wondering what changed between 3.7 & 4.xx in 'drawing' instrument since 3.7 worked for me on this box. JRE or something else? What's your best advice at this point to get back running....uninstall 4.xx and re-install 3.7? Willing to try any suggestions you might have to help you get to the bottom of it.
