Combining Paid Premium Panels

I'm trying to make a panel which combines the Simcoders: Cessna 172SP - REP panel with the RealityXP GTN 750 cut out version.

I've used the Simcoders version as a base and used the background.png from the RealityXP version as a background custom image. However, even with the click-through checked all I'm getting is the black background image from the background.png.

Is this even possible to do this or are the paid premium panels locked in a way that prevents this? If it is possible, what am I doing wrong?

You can download the version that has the cut-out for the GTN and use that as a background. Also Click-trough doesn't mean that the background color becomes transparent. It just means that you're able to click trough the panel. You'll have to set the background color to transparent as well.
