Hi there,
I am facing problems running the AirManager on a 2nd PC. 1st PC is running P3D and both PC's are connected via LAN.
I inserted in AM the IP of the sim running PC but nothing the gauges are not responding. Plugin was executed on sim PC and everything looks fine.
Any idea?
Cheers
Steve
Connecting probs on 2nd PC
Re: Connecting probs on 2nd PC
Did you try to run it local? Might be the firewall.
Re: Connecting probs on 2nd PC
Yes - local is no problem. I tried it without Avira on the sim PC and with disabled Windows firewall on the AM PC. Without any change.
Re: Connecting probs on 2nd PC
Is there a firewall on the sim PC and can you try to disable that for a minute?
Re: Connecting probs on 2nd PC
I turned off the firewall already without any positive effect.
Do I have any chance to test the communication between both PC's?
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Connecting probs on 2nd PC
A very simple way would be by pinging the sim (P3D) computer from the AM computer. But it doesn't guarantee anything...
If it runs local, and not remote, that means that something in between is blocking the data. Can be something like a firewall, or the router.

Re: Connecting probs on 2nd PC
Seems to like this. Do I have to configure special ports in the router? Any special things to consider in the Windows firewall?
The ping worked in both directions.
Thanks

You're sure you've set Air Manager to work with the correct simulator? And if Air Manager run simultaneously on the simulator PC and the AM PC, it does not work on the AM PC?
Normally it shouldn't be necessary to configure the router.
You're sure that both firewalls were turned off?
I'm not sure if you're using Windows 10 but...
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/ins ... -on-or-off
Both of these are turned off?

HI Ralph
I followed your instructions for the firewall and it was the firewall at the sim pc. I switched it off and it worked fine. Wow!
So far so good but I wouldn't leave it switched off. I tried to allow air manager to communicate but without any success.
Any clever idea? I guess we're close to the end.

Re: Connecting probs on 2nd PC
This video gives a good explanation I think. Select P3D there, private should be enough, but maybe public is necessary too. I think that's it, if not then I'll have to ask Corjan.
