X-plane 10.45 does not recognize AMV 2.1.3

#1 Post by pilotctk »

After I installed the AMV 2.1.3 plugin, X-plane no longer shows Air Manager in the plugin menu, nor in the enable/disable plugin menu. It simply does not work either on the master computer or on the network computer.

Has anyone else experienced this, or know how to fix? (I'm using X-plane 10.45 and Windows 7, 64bit).

Thanks!

We never had any real trouble with the X-Plane plugin, so it sounds more like some kind of installation error. Did you replace the plugin with the one from 2.1.3? And where did you place the plugin? Can you show a screenshot maybe?

You can follow this video as an example.

Yeah, I know its installed correctly. I've done this many times. Strangely, when I click on show plugin information, my list of plugins begins with #2, rather than #1. Its as though X-plane knows there is another plugin in the "plugin" folder, but its not actually making use of it.

Unless you (anyone) knows a fix to this, I think I"ll have to re-install X-plane and see if that works.

If you remove the plugin, is that empty space in the plugins menu gone?

Well, I'm at a real loss for words now.

When I reverted back to 2.1.1, it worked fine. So then I copied the .xpl file from 2.1.3 directly (replacing the 2.1.1 file) and then it didn't work again.

I think my version of the 2.1.3 zip file is corrupted. Not sure if you have any ideas? Can you message me another zip file and see if that works?

Thanks, again.

Chris

You can download it (2.1.3) from your account at our website. Let me know if it works. If not then we'll have some debugging to do :)

I am running 2.1.3 Home on X-P v10.45 and 10.50r1 without a hitch. I would definately try reinstalling as it is working fine here.

Or try it without other plugins. But a reinstall might do something.

Thanks, gents. I will try re-installing, but I won't get to that for awhile. Will let you know if it works.

Also, yes, I have tried re-downloading and re-installing from my account a couple of times. I wasn't sure if the file in my account is unique to my account and might be corrupted, or if that is just a link to a download which is working perfectly fine for everyone else. If it is the same download file everyone else is using, then my X-plane code must be corrupted.
