I reinstalled the plugin yesterday, with FS2020 not running. Now after the first start, it works. :)
I tried to reinstall the plugin before, but I think I had FS running, so this couldn't work.

If there's any change in the status, I'll let you know.

It all runs outside of the simulator, so in theory that shouldn't matter.

Others have reported running the installer while MSFS is running works just fine. I haven't personally had the need with the latest plugin.

This has been my experience since January. Once I've lost that connection, it doesn't matter if the sim is running or not. As long as I cycle the service or reinstall the plugin, it regains connection and starts working again just fine.

If you could share that batch file you mentioned to cycle the service, it would be much appreciated. It's not a solution, but would make things a bit easier.

We are not really in favor of such solutions. We much rather do a debug session so the problem can be solved, instead of the customer(s) making a workaround.

@Ralph Agreed.

@Crunchmeister If you don’t mind the guys doing a debug session on your machine perhaps the issue can be found and fixed. I’ll gladly share the bat files if the conclusion after a debug session is that the plugin can’t be changed to fix whatever the issue happens to be. Just pm Ralph to setup a date/time and be sure to let us all know any outcomes.

This might already be solved in 4.1. I remeber having the same issue some month ago. Corian and me did a debug session and he prrovided a new BETA. I think it was was BETA 2.
