Re: Latest Sim Innovations Newsletter
Hi,
I have read that the version running over opengl will come in early 2017; is possible to test it before?
Because I use airmanger, but I have an old hardware and I can't run all gauges smoothly; this new version maybe will speeds up my sistem and I will be able to fly smoothly.
Thanks
Luigi

You KNOW you want a new computer
Seriously, we are not to the point of public beta yet but when we are there we will let you know. It will probably be after Christmas so who know, Santa may bring you a new computer.
I found adding a new video card (which does most of the heavy lifting for Air Manager) is usually enough to make a borderline system shine with Air Manager. Any Nvidia GTX750 card will work and they are about US$ 100 -120 for a 2 Gb VRAM version.
I would try that if you want to use Air Manager before OpenGL is ready.
BTW I also see a brand new 3Gb GTX1060 from GeForce online at Amazon for just over $200 and it 3D bench marks at 260% faster than the GTX750 (and 6% faster than the GTX970).
