Since we moved our website and online services to a new hosting provider back in 2015, we couldn't have imagined that eventually even this new server could not handle the load. Since a couple of months our server has been struggling with the amount of traffic, resulting in HTTP errors.
Therefore we will be switching to a cloud hosting package soon, which hopefully will solve this issue. Due to the migration our website, Air Manager online service and email can be temporarily unavailable.
At the moment it is still unsure when this migration will take place. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to be back with a better online service.
Website and services temporarily offline
Re: Website and services temporarily offline
Our website, forums and online services for Air Manager will be unavailable from Monday evening the 20th at 19:00 UTC, until Thursday the 23rd, we're not sure which time it is up exactly.
Please take care of yourself and your loved ones.

@Ralph
Is the changeover done and dusted?
Website seems much quicker.

Hi,
Yes, it should all be migrated to the new server.
In theory it is faster, but we have to see if it really holds up.

Name server changing went quick, was done in a few hours.
Re: Website and services temporarily offline
I tried to update to phpBB 3.3.0 today, but this failed. Maybe later...

Re: Website and services temporarily offline
For this I would rather make a replication of initial site to a new location folowing this migration path :
Gilles
- Make the initial site offline
- Shutdown database
- Duplicate the initial site to a new location
- Once duplication performed, restart initial site database
- Bring initial site up
- So experiments could be done without hurry on a fresh last footprint, as long as it would take
- I would indeed make a backup of this new site location before starting the whole process
- Then make additional backup at each successful stage
- When the proof is made, I would restart for real the whole process against the whole site

Re: Website and services temporarily offline
Usually the phpBB updates work flawlessly, so I got a bit cocky and went ahead. Luckily I learned a little bit from past mistakes and made a backup.
We're probably going to change to 3.3.0, but this will mean that the 'mention' plugin has to be removed.

The mention plugin feature is very handy. It would be a shame to lose it now.
