Server problems - Update

#1 Post by Ralph »

We're experiencing problems with our server / hosting provider. There's a high CPU load, but so far we haven't been able to find out what is causing this. We hope to know more by tomorrow.

You might be experiencing problems with downloading instruments, instrument panels and maybe also applications.

More news soon...

Thanks for the confirmation Ralph. I thought it was my end at first but other sites are fine.

I hope it’s sorted soon.

Our hosting provider (Hostgator) promised to send us an overview today, of all processes that are running and their CPU usage. Hopefully that will give us a better insight.

We found the cause to be one account downloading lots and lots of instruments. We've blocked this account and now it should be back to normal.

A clone of our website is being made at the moment. This will cause some slow response and errors for a while. Should be over soon.

Ralph,
For a few days now the forum keeps on logging me off on my apple phone and iPad despite having the remember me checked. This is very annoying to have to re log in all the time.

This is not the case when using my PC or smart TV.

Keith,

I’ve been having the opposite problem for ages now. Phone and tablet fine. PC always logs off.

I've been reading about it for a while. There are more people who have the same problem, but there seems to be no real solution for it as far as I could tell.

I've cleaned the cache and the sessions. It probably won't help, but worth a try.
